We had a great discussion tonight at the IABC Queensland event with special guest facilitator, PR Warrior, Trevor Young. We talked about how we, as business communicators are navigating the landscape of the new media world. It was a good, collaborative environment, where we all shared our experiences and aspirations for what we might do in this space.
It felt like we were just getting into thngs when our time ran out, and we all agreed that it would be great to continue the discussion online. The conversation started here, on Trevor's blog. Susan continued it (at length!) in a post on her own blog, relating to the world of mining, engineering and construction and how the brave new media world might apply to it; and tonight we went into some detail about the rapid evolution of new media, where it's at now, where it might be in the future, and how we, whether corporate communicators or entrepreneurs, might utilise it to the best advantage.
